Winter is here! For most of us, winter is a time to stay indoors away from colder temperatures. Even though the weather outside might be frightful, winter is the perfect time to dress up your apartment home. That is why we’ve collected a list of awesome winter-inspired DIY ideas to get your creativity flowing. Here are some of our favorites:
Popsicle Stick Snowflakes: If you are like us, we love the snow (to a point)! Why not bring the magic of snow inside with cute popsicle stick snowflakes? They are easy to make and very inexpensive. All you will need is popsicle sticks, a glue gun, and some spray paint. Configure your snowflakes using the popsicle sticks – you can get designs from a quick Google search – and glue them together. A little spray paint and some glitter will really make them pop when you hang them on the wall.
Snowy Pinecone Candle Jars: Want to add a little warmth to your apartment home? These snowy pinecone candle jars are just the trick! All you will need is some mason jars, a few pinecones lace, twine, a glue gun, Snow-Tex, Epsom salt, and a candle. Tie the lace around the top of the jars with the twine and attach a couple of pinecones with your glue gun. Add about an inch of Epsom salt to the bottom of the jar and insert the candle. Then use the Snow-Tex on the pinecones and around the rim of the jar to create the perfect look of new fallen snow. Voila!
Winter Wine Bottle Centerpiece: Have any left-over wine bottles from the holidays? Don’t let them go to waste! You could create a gorgeous winter wine bottle centerpiece with a few wine bottles, paint primer spray, Epsom salt, and spray adhesive. All you need to do is spray a coat of primer on each bottle completely then spray them with adhesive. Roll the bottles in the Epsom salt and you will have a great centerpiece for friends and family to enjoy when they come over.
Scarf Wreath: Have an old scarf you aren’t using anymore? Why not put it to good use with a creative and fun scarf wreath? All you need is a wreath form and a scarf. Gently wrap the scarf around the form so that the two ends meet at the bottom where you can tie them together in a bow. It will look great!
At HHHunt, we believe it’s how you live that matters and hope that these DIY ideas inspire you to dress up your apartment home for the winter. Be sure to share your DIY creations with us – we would love to see them!
