The residents and team members in HHHunt’s apartment home communities have a mutual love for where they live and work. Whether cities, counties or towns, we believe the places we call home are truly special. We also believe it’s paramount to support our neighbors and those in need to help ensure our local communities are strong and resilient.
Since our founding over 55 years ago, HHHunt has been committed to serving our local communities. It’s part of who we are and why we promise to be an engaged community partner, which means we’ll make a positive difference in the lives of others.
What does that positive difference look like? It looks like our teams staying active and visible in their local communities by sharing their time, talents and resources. As a company, HHHunt will encourage, support and recognize volunteerism. We love to give shout-outs for the incredible work our teams and residents do to help those in need!
Let’s look at some recent efforts and how our apartment communities are improving the world!
School Supply Drive
As the school year began again this fall, our Apartment Living teams led the way in collecting school supplies for students in need. School supply donation drives were organized in many of our communities! HHHunt’s Apartment Living division collected over 1,500 back-to-school supplies this fall.
Abberly at Southpoint in Fredericksburg (VA) collected 552 items alone. So many of our communities stepped up. Abberly Avera in Manassas (VA), Abberly Place in Garner (NC), Abberly Village in West Columbia (SC), Abberly Centerpointe in Midlothian (VA), Abberly Crest in Lexington Park (MD), Abberly West Ashley in Charleston (SC), Abberly Solaire in Garner (NC) and Abberly Pointe in Beaufort (SC) collected hundreds of supplies which were donated to local public schools in their areas.
Did you know that one pint of blood can save up to three lives? Donating blood is a lifesaver. Several of our communities organize multiple blood drives throughout the year to encourage team members and residents to donate. Abberly Market Point in Greenville (SC) most recently held a blood drive in early October. The event was a huge success and will have a tangible impact on their community.
As the holiday season approaches, food banks throughout the country are in desperate need of donations. The pandemic has resulted in a massive increase in the number of people visiting food banks and has made it difficult for those nonprofits to keep up. HHHunt apartment home communities often organize food drives to collect canned goods and other nonperishable items for local food banks. Abberly at Southpoint in Fredericksburg (VA) organized a canned food drive throughout the month of October and collected hundreds of items. Several other communities are planning food drives this month and into early December.
HHHunt is proud to offer pet-friendly apartments for rent and we have a special place in our collective heart for our four-legged friends. To us, being pet-friendly is about more than policies or pet amenities. Our residents and team members also support pets in trouble and looking for a new home. Abberly Crossing in Ladson (SC) offers a great recent example. The community organized a pet supply drive to benefit M.A.D. Rescue Transport, a local nonprofit organization helping animals that have been abused, abandoned, and neglected.
Our teams and communities do so much good for those in need, and these are just a few examples. It’s truly inspiring to see the incredible support our team members and residents offer to their local communities. When there’s a need, they lend a helping hand.
Thank you to all our team members and residents for your generosity and care!
