We love our residents and often talk about the incredible apartment homes and amenities at our communities. These are all important, but the secret ingredient to our success is our amazing teams. Our dedicated team members work tirelessly to serve our residents and have excelled at just that, even during these most unusual and stressful times.
One of HHHunt Apartment Living’s Brand Promises is to be Employee Centered. That means that we’re committed to the well-being of each team member. We live this Brand Promise by empowering employees, investing in them, recognizing their work, and creating a positive work environment. It’s also why we celebrated Employee Appreciation Week from September 21st – 25th.
Throughout that week, we honored our amazing teams. This year, more than ever we believe it’s crucial to recognize the hard work of our employees. They’ve risen to the challenges that 2020 has presented and remained steadfast in their commitment to serving our residents and their local communities.
A Week of Celebrations
We thought it would be fun to look back at Employee Appreciation Week and the ways in which we honored our amazing teams. On Monday, we surprised each employee with breakfast. There’s no better way to start your week than with a delicious breakfast on Monday morning! It’s the most important meal of the day after all.
On Tuesday, we hosted a Trivia Game to encourage some friendly competition among everyone. Our Apartment Living communities were divided into categories based on size of the community. Teams had to race against the clock to answer trivia questions at random times throughout the day. What a fun way to keep everyone on their toes and encourage teamwork. Congrats to the following teams for winning their categories:
- Foxridge Grounds (Foxridge Community Challenge)
- Abberly Avera (Communities over 320 apartment homes)
- Abberly Pointe (Communities under 320 apartment homes)
Wednesday and Thursday had more fun surprises in store for our teams. All employees received gift cards on Wednesday as a small token of our appreciation for all they do. Then, we treated everyone to lunch on Thursday. Tasty boxed lunches were delivered to each community and teams could enjoy lunch together… socially distanced, of course.
Impact of 1
Friday marked the culmination of Employee Appreciation Week as we closed offices at all our communities. This day off was more than just a way to say thank you, it was part of our larger mission to emphasize the Impact of 1 in 2020. This year has presented a number of challenges, including limiting the ability of our teams to participate in community service projects together. What we’ve found, though, is that our amazing teams are still making a difference in their local communities. One person can have a major impact on others. So, on Friday we closed our offices to allow our team members to choose a way that they wanted to give back and demonstrate the Impact of 1. For some, it was a community service project. For others, a kind act for a neighbor, friend, or stranger. The goal of this day was to highlight how powerful one person can be and then see how much good we can do when everyone understands the Impact of 1.
We’re so proud of our amazing teams and the impressive work they do every day. Our annual celebrations during Employee Appreciation Week looked a little different this year. Yet, our excitement in recognizing our teams has never wavered and neither has the profound impact of those team members on each other, their residents, and their local communities.
